We offer a range of ministries to suit all ages

Bible Study Groups  Offered at a variety of times. Please check the notice board in the Porch or the Announcement sheets.  We cannot under-estimate the importance of Bible study. While personal Bible study and family worship is strongly encouraged, different Bible study groups gather on different days of the weeks and cater for different age/interest/gender groups.

Inner Room Fellowship  Every Friday Morning 9.30am  Open to all.
The format is different: we watch an instructional video (RC Sproul, e.a.) followed by a discussion.
We don't go home before we had good fellowship around morning tea.

Sunday School  After 9.00am Service

Starts 10.20am
The Session of St Andrews regards Sunday School as a very important ministry to our children.
God made a covenant of grace with us including our children. It is our responsibility to equip them, leading by example in loving the Lord Jesus Christ and knowing Him as He reveales Himself in the Bible. Sunday school is an avenue by which the Church assists parents to give expression to their baptismal vows so that their children may be prepared for service to their King, Jesus Christ.

Pathfinders  Every 3rd Friday, 6:30pm~8:30pm  In addition to the Bible study at Sunday School, Pathfinders is an activity oriented Bible study group for the primary school students of St. Andrews (Grades 1 to 7). We usually meet once a month, every third Friday night at 6:30 pm, unless there is a special occasion for a daytime activity. This year’s theme is “Kids in Jesus.â€? Things we do each time we gather are singing and leaning songs (paraphrase of or direct quote of the Bible verses), outdoor and indoor games, puzzles (called ‘enigma’), small group Bible study and enjoying snack time!  Rev. Explorers  Every 2nd Friday, 6:30pm~8:30pm  Explorers is a youth group for high school students of St. Andrews (Grades 8 to 12). Main theme for this year is to build a strong Christian relationship among members through various activities such as camping, movie night, archery and many more. We meet every second Friday night at 6:30 pm at the St Andrews’ Youth Centre. But we from time to time gather for activities during daytime on Saturday.  Rev. Kwangho Song  4778 3823 / 0407 135 351

Four/12  Every Wednesday night, 7.00pm in the "Upper Room"  A group for Young Adults.
This group got its name from the verse in 1Timothy 4:12 "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
Four/12 gathers regularly for Bible study, but enjoys good fellowship in social events. They recently undertook a trip to the Gordonvale Presbyterian Church where they helped in worship activities.

Listen to and sing along songs of yester year. You might even hear the odd poem or two. Test your knowledge of the Bible by answering the questions on the sheets; general knowledge is also handy.
And of course there is always good morning tea!

Social activities    We offer social activities for all groups. To name a few:
The annual picnic - usually held on the fist Saturday in September in Sheriff Park, appreciating the wonderful spring weather only experienced in Townsville.
The annual family camp - usually held during the Queen's Birthday weekend in Cardwell.
Trivia nights - usually two or three of these nights are arranged for all to enjoy. We have a night where all three Presbyterian Churhes in Townsville compete against one another!
Concerts - we love to support Missionaries and have conserts in order to raise money.

Missions Activities    The Missions Committee of St Andrews is very active. They meet every week and arrange a prayer meeting every 1st Saturday of each month.
St Andrews, many years ago, decided to call all its members to tithe (to honour and thank the Lord with a tenth of their income). The Church as a corporate body also tithe by spending at least a tenth of its annual budget outside the church, supporting missionaries and missionary organasations.
