Sunday School After 9.00am Service

Starts 10.20am
The Session of St Andrews regards Sunday School as a very important ministry to our children.
God made a covenant of grace with us including our children. It is our responsibility to equip them, leading by example in loving the Lord Jesus Christ and knowing Him as He reveales Himself in the Bible. Sunday school is an avenue by which the Church assists parents to give expression to their baptismal vows so that their children may be prepared for service to their King, Jesus Christ.

We usually meet once a month, every third Friday night at 6:30 pm, unless there is a special occasion for a daytime activity. This yearâs theme is âKids in Jesus.â? Things we do each time we gather are singing and leaning songs (paraphrase of or direct quote of the Bible verses), outdoor and indoor games, puzzles (called âenigmaâ), small group Bible study and enjoying snack time!  4771 2460/ 0413 288 778

This group got its name from the verse in 1Timothy 4:12 "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
Four/12 gathers regularly for Bible study, but enjoys good fellowship in social events. They recently undertook a trip to the Gordonvale Presbyterian Church where they helped in worship activities.

Social activities We offer social activities for all groups. To name a few:
The annual picnic - usually held on the fist Saturday in September in Sheriff Park, appreciating the wonderful spring weather only experienced in Townsville.
The annual family camp - usually held during the Queen's Birthday weekend in Cardwell.
Trivia nights - usually two or three of these nights are arranged for all to enjoy. We have a night where all three Presbyterian Churhes in Townsville compete against one another!
Concerts - we love to support Missionaries and have conserts in order to raise money.

Missions Activities The Missions Committee of St Andrews is very active. They meet every week and arrange a prayer meeting every 1st Saturday of each month.
St Andrews, many years ago, decided to call all its members to tithe (to honour and thank the Lord with a tenth of their income). The Church as a corporate body also tithe by spending at least a tenth of its annual budget outside the church, supporting missionaries and missionary organasations.
